Chef Giulio (originally from Palermo, Italy) draws strongly on family recipes and traditions. Chef Giulio and sister Tina immigrated from Palermo to New Jersey where he joined Pappa who had immigrated 3 years earlier. They worked various jobs, later bringing Mama and Chef Giulio’s remaining sisters from Palermo to join them in the US. The family eventually settled in Jacksonville, FL where Chef Giulio opened “Vito’s Italian Restaurant” – with the family working at what was later voted “Best Italian Restaurant” by Best of JAX Folio Weekly 2012.
